The ceramics made in Hiang-San-Yo undergoes a thousand year old method of ceramic making that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Therefore, the ceramic works here cannot be simply copied by artifice, as the ceramic works made in Hiang-San-Yo arrays a distinct natural and traditional beauty within it, which is its unique selling point.
Production of the ceramics are not technologically based, but all handmade.
The most important recipe in making our ceramic works are straws ashes and pine trees.
The works are all made in the woodfire kiln.
The process briefly aforementioned, requires far more skilled labor and time, compared to factory production. However here are some reason why we choose to keep our traditional production methods.
